Two Men Pull Off ATM Heist On Victoria Street


On December 18, 2019, at approximately 10 a.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to a report of a bank robbery at TD Bank located on Pioneer Drive in Kitchener. Two armed men entered the bank and demanded cash. The suspects have been described as black males, approximately 5’8” tall with thin builds, carrying handguns. They were wearing all black clothing, and one was wearing a construction vest. They left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and were last seen entering a black 4 door car parked out front. On December 20, 2019, at approximately 4:50 a.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to an alarm call at a convenience store located on Victoria Street North in Kitchener. Two males forced open the front door of the business and stole an ATM. The suspects have described as white males, average build, wearing black winter jackets and dark clothing. They fled the scene in a pickup truck and were last seen travelling east on Victoria Street towards Guelph. Drug Trafficking Arrest - AINSLIE ST S, CAMBRIDGE

On December 18, 2019, at approximately 4:20 a.m., Waterloo Regional Police arrested a male in the area of Ainslie Street South in Cambridge. The male was wanted on two arrest warrants. As a result of the arrest, police seized suspected Fentanyl, suspected Methamphetamine, bear spray, knives, stolen cheques, and stolen fuel credit cards. A 24-year-old male has been charged with two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Carry a Concealed Weapon, Possession of Stolen Property Under $5,000, Fail to Comply with Recognizance, and Fail to Comply with Probation Order.

Male Wanted on Two Arrest Warrants Arrested Again

On Wednesday, December 18, 2019, members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Central division CORE team located a suspected stolen motor vehicle parked on Chandler Drive in Kitchener. The driver fled from the officers and drove the vehicle through the backyard of a residence on Woodfern Avenue, colliding with the building and a fence. The vehicle came to a stop and the occupants fled on foot. Shortly after, officers arrested a 25-year-old male in connection with the incident. Offices also seized suspected methamphetamine from the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.


On December 15, 2019, Waterloo Regional Police arrested a 20-year-old Kitchener male in connection to a shooting-related incident that occurred on November 30, 2019, at 2 a.m., in a parking lot on Dupont Street East in Waterloo. Police received a report that two males known to one another had an altercation in a parking lot. During the altercation, one male pulled out a firearm and shot several rounds into the air. No one was injured as a result of the incident. The males then fled the area. As a result of the investigation, police charged the 20-year-old male with careless use of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, unauthorized use of a firearm, possession of an unauthorized firearm, and uttering death threats.
