Madison Avenue Scene Of Kitchener Double Stabbing

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police continue to secure a residence on Madison Avenue in Kitchener in connection with an incident early this morning.

At approximately 4:18am, emergency services responded to a 9-1-1 call and found two adults at the home with apparent stab wounds.

A male and a female known to each other were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.  The male was subsequently transported to a Hamilton hospital for additional treatment.

The investigation is being led by members of the Domestic Violence Branch in partnership with Central Division Detectives and the Homicide Branch.

The investigation is in its early stages and at this point there is no immediate concern for the safety of the general public.

Police remain on scene while the circumstances surrounding the nature of the incident are investigated.
