Tickets Now On Sale for Evening Christmas Programs at Doon Heritage Village

A tradition continues as Waterloo Region Museum announces the Doon Heritage Village line-up of popular evening Christmas programs that take place in the living history village during December. Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, Sept. 7 at 9 a.m. for Doon By Lantern Light Tours and Starry Night.
Doon By Lantern Light Tours take place Friday and Saturday on Dec. 4, 10, 11 and 17 with two tours taking place each night starting at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. A Lantern Light Tour includes a visit to several of the seasonal decorated buildings in the living history village, a horse-drawn wagon ride and a Christmas concert in the village church.
Starry Night will be held on Dec. 18 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. This magical evening recreates a village Christmas of 1914, with more than 100 lanterns lighting the seasonal decorated village. Visitors can sample hot cider, roasted chestnuts, fresh baking made from authentic 1914 recipes, and listen to carollers while enjoying a special winter evening outside under the stars.
Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available by calling 519-748-1914. Doon By Lantern Light Tours are $10 per person and Starry Night tickets are $18 for adults and $9 for children. Space is limited for these two popular Christmas events, purchase right away to avoid disappointment. MasterCard and Visa accepted.
